IAMGOLD Côté Gold Project

The Côté Gold Mine is an open-pit gold mine located within the Sudbury district in northeastern Ontario, Canada. The project, developed by IAMGOLD Corporation in partnership with Sumitomo Metal Mining, represents a significant investment into the Canadian gold mining industry.

Construction of the mine began in September 2020, with the project valued at approximately $1.3 billion. Situated about 25 km southwest of Gogama, 125 km southwest of Timmins, and 175 km northwest of Sudbury, the mine is strategically located to leverage the infrastructure and workforce of Ontario’s mining sector.

The Côté Gold Mine is expected to commence commercial production in early 2024, with an anticipated average production rate of 367,000 ounces of gold per annum on a 100% basis.
