Tata Steel Mine Jobs - Camp Cooks, Drivers, and Housekeepers - 14/14 Rotations with Flights/Camp

Sodexo Canada is currently hiring for Tata Steel's mining operations camp services, seeking Camp Cooks, Drivers, and Housekeepers to join their team. 14 days on and 14 days off rotational schedule, with fly-in and fly-out arrangements from several homeports, including Deer Lake, Gander, Goose Bay, Halifax, Montreal, Moncton, Sept-Iles, St. John's, Schefferville, and Quebec City. Remote camp accommodations near mine sites in Labrador and Northern Quebec.

Tata Steel Mines focuses on mining and processing high-grade iron ore in the Menihek region of Labrador and Northern Quebec. The operations span multiple hematite deposits near Schefferville and involve the Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) project, which includes crushing, screening, and drying iron ore for direct shipping. The processed ore is transported by rail to the port for shipment to customers worldwide.

Drivers/Bus Drivers - $24/hr + Overtime

Drivers are responsible for transporting personnel, visitors, customers, and goods/materials using company vehicles. Duties also include loading/unloading products, food, and equipment, and ensuring items are stored or installed properly.

Requirements include 0 to 2 years of transportation-related work experience.

Camp Cooks (1st Cook) - $23/hr

Specializing in Asian cuisine, Camp Cooks will handle the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of menu items. Additional duties include managing kitchen staff, inventory, and maintaining kitchen standards.

Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen and catering settings. Red Seal Certification is a strong asset.

Housekeepers - $18/hr

Housekeeping staff responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms, dorms, and laundry facilities, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and replenishing supplies. One year of experience preferred.

Camp employees work in both indoor and outdoor environments, facing varying weather conditions. The work schedule may include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours, depending on business needs.
