Fly-in and fly-out camp job opportunities in the Northwest Territories. Heavy Equipment Operators (Loader, Dozer, Excavator, and Graders) are needed for the decommissioning and demolition of the Snap Lake Diamond Mine. Located 220 km northeast of Yellowknife, NT, the Snap Lake Diamond Mine was owned and operated by De Beers Canada from 2008 to 2015. Known for producing high-quality diamonds, including valuable pink and yellow diamonds, the mine adhered to high environmental standards and innovative sustainable mining practices. The decommissioning project is now in progress under the Nuna Group of Companies and Metcor Inc.

Heavy Equipment Operators (Loader, Dozer, Excavator, and Graders)

The Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for conducting pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completing daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities. They maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.

Operators must complete production reporting and other documentation as required. Effective and professional communication with other team members is essential. Operators will also operate other heavy equipment if required and follow all site, company, and client-specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures.

Candidates must have previous experience operating loaders, dozers, excavators, and graders in road building, mining, and/or industrial settings. Experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life is preferred. Successful candidates will incorporate HSandE concepts into work activities and demonstrate concern for others' health and safety, including co-workers, clients, and sub trades.

The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness is essential. Additionally, candidates should have experience with radio communications and protocols.
