Reporting to the Mine Auxiliary Services Supervisor, mining labourers will assist the mining team and carry out dewatering tasks. Responsibilities include adhering to safety procedures, assisting in mining operations, managing dewatering activities, handling tools and supplies, cleaning work areas and equipment, loading and unloading materials, operating machinery, and supporting team members.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment
  • Handling heavy loads (at least 50 pounds)
  • Physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail required
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the mining industry or similar role preferred
  • Experience with mine dewatering and operating pumps beneficial
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks
  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingualism considered an asset

Technical Competencies and Skills:

  • Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts for 14 to 21 days at a time
  • Adaptability to remote environments and harsh conditions
  • Capability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and respect for colleagues
