The Peace River Bridge Twinning Project in Alberta is creating numerous employment opportunities in the construction sector. Funded by the Alberta Government, the project, which involves constructing a new bridge and twinning Highway 2, is expected to last approximately three years and requires a range of skilled workers. Peace River Bridge Twinning Project Employment Information

Are you looking for employment information on brand new Peace River Bridge Twinning Project? The Alberta Government approved funding last year for constructing a new bridge and twinning Highway 2. This major update will reduce congestion while improving traffic and create hundreds of employment opportunities in the region. Flatiron Construction and Aecon has been awarded the project to construct the Peace River Bridge structure and twinning of Highway 2which runs about 1.6km through the Town of Peace River. The construction is set to begin this month and will take about 3 years. This project has created 100s of employment opportunities for workers in Alberta.

The company, Flatiron Construction is currently hiring for positions mentioned below. (See below for all positions and how to send in your resume). You may also submit your resume (for positions not mentioned below) to be considered when future opportunities rises. There are NO camp accommodations for this project. But you may find accommodations locally in the town of Peace River, AB. All positions mentioned below are full time positions working 6 days per week. All positions include great pay and benefits(Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program, Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP, Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vison and/or Provincial Medical, and Wellness benefits and Employee Assistance Program). Available Position at Peace River Bridge Project

Carpenters - You must be a Journeyperson carpenter with Formwork and concrete works, rigging cranes, man-lifts, working within fall protection experience. 5+ years experience an asset .Level 2 First Aid is an asset .May be required to work nights.

Labourers - Valid Drivers License is the only requirements. You must be able to work over time including days, nights, and weekends. High school or GED preferred. But not required.

Crane Operators - You must have a Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator - Mobile Crane Red seal or equivalence as a crane operator. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a crane operator. You must also have Heavy equipment operation experience (Container Handler, Loader, Dozer, backhoe etc.).

Earthworks Operators - You must have all the valid tickets. A minimum of 5 years full time work experience as an operator supporting construction or civil earthworks required.
