IAMGOLD Côté Gold Project - Heavy Equipment Operators - Excavators - Fly In/Out and Camp

Fly-in/fly-out remote camp construction job opportunities in Ontario. Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. is currently hiring heavy equipment operators for the IAMGOLD C�t� Gold Mine Project and other mining and heavy civil construction projects across Ontario. • Rotational work schedule with day and night shifts

Job duties and responsibilities for the excavator operators include,

• Perform earth moving and grading in a hard rock mining environment
• Load haul trucks efficiently
• Build structures according to design specifications
• Assist ground personnel when needed
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient material delivery
• Adhere to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies
• Maintain quality standards by following project specifications and guidelines
• Utilize exceptional judgment and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate effectively with team members and independently handle tasks

General qualifications for the excavator operators include,

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience operating an excavator (models: 336, 349, 390, 470, 670, 1250)
• Experience in hard rock mining and/or heavy civil earthworks
• Expertise with technical specifications, grade plans, and building roads
• Experience with various ground conditions, including soft ground and hard rock
• Ability to finish or trim is an asset
• GPS experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures

General requirements for the excavator operators include,

• Must have (or be willing to obtain) CSO, Intermediate First Aid, and Ground Disturbance Level 2
• Provide own steel-toed 6" lace-up boots (CSA Approved)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and safely
• Must pass alcohol, drug, and fit-to-work assessments as pre-employment requirements
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work up to 12 hours a day and day or night shifts
• Willingness to work in remote areas on a rotational schedule

IAMGOLD C�t� Gold Project

The C�t� Gold Mine, located in northeastern Ontario, is an open-pit gold mine developed by IAMGOLD Corporation in partnership with Sumitomo Metal Mining. This project represents a significant investment in the Canadian gold mining industry. Construction began in September 2020, with the mine expected to commence commercial production in 2024. The project is strategically situated to leverage Ontario's mining infrastructure and workforce.
