  1. Equipment Operators - Utility 2
  • Responsible for all site-based work including water and sewer delivery, site-wide sump disposal, roll-off bins and waste oil disposal, site-wide road maintenance, airport runway maintenance, site-wide dewatering management, ad hoc project work, mobile rock crusher, shotcrete plant, concrete plant operations, spill clean-up, and landfill management.
  • The successful candidate must be able to safely operate various equipment while providing mentorship to other employees and trainees. Physical requirements include climbing, lifting, working outdoors in extreme cold weather conditions, and the ability to sustain periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, and working at heights. Night shifts may be required.
  • Equipment: 992, 988, and 950 loaders; 777 and 730 rock trucks; tractor trailers; D6 and D10 dozers; excavators 325, 329, 374, 390; graders 14M, 16M, 18M; roll-off and water/sewer trucks; snow cats and packers.
  1. Equipment Operators - Utility 1 (Materials and Logistics)
  • As part of the Materials Management and Logistics team and reporting to the Materials Management Team Leader, the Equipment Operator - Utility 1 will be responsible for checking off and sorting incoming freight deliveries, offloading and loading all aircraft, and other related airport apron activities. Participate in all Winter Road activities such as unloading, unstrapping, and escorting Winter Road trucks and the delivery of fuel and lubes to all required operational mining equipment and bulk fuel delivery to day tanks around the site.
  • The successful candidate must be able to safely operate various equipment including loaders, forklifts, skid steers, zoom booms, genie lifts, bulk fuel tankers, lube trucks, and tractor trailers. The candidate must be self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as part of a team, to achieve best-in-class efficiency and productivity. Physical requirements include climbing, lifting, working outdoors in extreme cold weather conditions, and the ability to sustain periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, and working at heights. Night shift rotations may also be required.

  1. Heavy Equipment Technicians (Off Road)
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of all heavy-duty equipment on site. The successful candidate must focus on safety, quality, and accuracy of work and be adaptable to changing roles within the function.
  1. Boiler Operators
  • Reporting to the Electrical Services Team Leader, the Boiler Operator will maintain and operate boilers, piping systems, and equipment related to heating, ventilation, and pressure vessels at the Ekati Diamond Mine. Emphasis is on participating in the maintenance and upkeep of plumbing, water, and building facilities.
