Conuma Resources is seeking driven individuals for entry-level job positions at their mining operations in Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd, BC. Positions include Haul Truck Trainees, Steam Bay Attendants, and Labourers. These roles offer a 7 days on 7 days off rotational shifts with transportation and competitive hourly rates.
- Full-time, permanent positions
- 7-days on, 7-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays

- Competitive hourly rates: $30.72 to $36.80 per hour, varying by position
Conuma Resources currently accepting applications for following positions.
- Haul Truck Trainees
- Operate rigid-frame haul trucks to transport overburden, waste rock, and coal
- Perform pre-trip checks and complete FLHA's regularly
- Adhere to workplace policies and standard operating procedures
- Identify and report risks, near misses, and incidents
- Steam Bay Attendants
- Wash mobile equipment in the steam bay and field
- Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance
- Maintain steam bay tools, equipment, and supplies
- Adhere to workplace policies and standard operating procedures
- Identify and report risks, near misses, and incidents
- Labourers
- Perform process plant clean up and maintain cleanliness of the plant and equipment
- Scrape and shovel material from under and around conveyor belts
- Adhere to workplace policies and standard operating procedures
- Identify and report risks, near misses, and incidents
General education, experience, and qualifications as follows.
- Some high school, college, or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training, or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a 7x7 rotation
- Proficiency in English communication
- Physically fit to perform labor-intensive tasks often at heights
- Proven safety and attendance record
- Willingness to learn and work in all weather conditions
- Previous heavy equipment operations, laborer, or industrial experience is an asset
- First Aid/Mine Rescue Training is an asset
Note that all selected applicants will be required to complete pre-employment testing.
Employee bus transportation is available from Tumbler Ridge (Brule Mine and Wolverine Mine), Chetwynd (Brule Mine and Willow Creek Mine), Mackenzie (Willow Creek Mine), and Dawson Creek (Willow Creek Mine).
