Diamond Mining Jobs Northwest Territories
Ready for an exciting career? Immediate openings in Ekati Diamond Mine. Ekati Diamond Mine is located approximately 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. It is Canada's first surface and underground diamond mine. The mine site is only accessible by air. Which also make these fly in and fly out jobs. Remote camp accommodations will be provided on the mine site during your work schedule. Typical work rotation is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
Available Mining Jobs
Equipment Operators - Your primary responsible is to safely operate Dozers, Graders and Loaders to meet daily plan and production targets. High School Diploma or GED. In order to qualify for this position, you must have Class 5 Driver's License. A minimum 5 years' experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, specifically D10 Dozer, 16G/M Grader, and 992 Loader in the mining industry or similar setting. Operating in an open pit environment and CAT 375 Excavator operating experience is desirable.
Equipment Operator (Haul Truck) - You will be operating 100t and 180t Caterpillar Haul Trucks in an open pit production environment. Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a mining or industrial setting would be considered an asset.
Journeyperson Pipefitter - As a Pipefitter, you are responsible for surface pipefitting and fabrication within Fixed Plant Maintenance, with occasional underground work when required. In order to qualify for this position, you must have High School Diploma or GED, Journeyperson Certified, Minimum of five years experience working in a large scale industrial environment, and the ability to work comfortably from heights, in confined spaces and underground.
Warehouse Labourers - Various warehouse duties.
