As an oil sands labourer, your role will include but is not limited to the following.

• Assisting with general site operations at the CNRL Albian Oil Sands Project.
• Filling water tanks as needed.
• Conducting site clean-up and maintenance.
• Installing signage according to highway standards.
• Snow and ice removal.
• Painting when required.
• Proper tool storage.
• Setting up and operating de-watering systems.
• Acting as a flag person.
• Spotting for loaders and other equipment.
• Repairing walkway holes.
• Preparing pads for cranes.
• Grass cutting.
• Operating machinery like forklifts, skid steers, and zoom booms.
• Upholding a cooperative relationship with colleagues and customers.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

Requirements for oil sands labourers for the Albian Oil Sands Project include the following.

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Clean 5-year Driver Abstract within 30 days of starting work.
• Basic Safety Orientations: CSTS-2020, SCOT, WHMIS 2015, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Safety-conscious attitude.
• Comfortable working in fluctuating climates and environmental conditions.
• Willingness to work in close proximity to water.
• Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol test and Fit for Duty test.
• Clean-shaven appearance for testing and beyond.
