CNRL Horizon and CNUL Albian Oil Sands

Horizon Oil Sands, a project owned and operated by Canadian Natural Resources (CNRL), is an oil sands mining and upgrading project in Bitumount, Alberta. The project involves surface oil sands mining, bitumen extraction, and on-site bitumen upgrading with associated infrastructure.

Albian Sands Energy Inc., the operator of the Muskeg River Mine and Jack Pine Mine, is a collaborative effort between Shell Canada, CNRL, and Chevron Canada. This oil sands mining project is located north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.
