Major hydroelectric facility supporting energy production in British Columbia.

The Ruskin Dam and Powerhouse, situated on the Stave River in British Columbia, Canada, is a concrete gravity dam completed in 1930 for hydroelectric power generation. The facility created Hayward Lake, supplying water to a 105 MW powerhouse. Between 2012 and 2018, BC Hydro undertook significant upgrades to the dam and powerhouse to enhance seismic performance, replace aging equipment, and improve operational efficiency. These upgrades included reinforcing the right bank of the dam, replacing generators, and upgrading the intake and penstocks, ensuring the facility's continued contribution to British Columbia's renewable energy supply.
