Lalor Mine is a zinc, copper, and gold mining operation in northern Manitoba.
Situated near Snow Lake, Manitoba, the Lalor Mine is a key asset of Hudbay Minerals Inc. This underground mine produces gold, zinc, copper, and silver. Since commencing production in 2014, Lalor has undergone significant developments, including the refurbishment of the New Britannia mill in 2021, which transitioned the mine into a primary gold operation. In July 2023, Hudbay announced a new discovery near the Lalor deposit, potentially extending the mine's life beyond 2038. The company continues to invest in exploration to further delineate the deposit's down-plunge gold and copper extensions.
