Coal mining operation focused on steelmaking coal production.

The Fording River Mine, located in southeastern British Columbia, is one of Canada's largest steelmaking coal operations. Owned by Teck Resources, the mine has been in operation since 1971 and produces high-quality metallurgical coal used in steel production. The mine has a capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per year, with a wash plant capacity of 10 million tonnes per year. Teck is planning the Fording River Extension (FRX) Project to extend the mine's lifespan and continue contributing to the steelmaking industry.
