Eagle Gold Mine is a large-scale gold mining operation in Yukon.
The Eagle Gold Mine, operated by Victoria Gold Corporation, is the largest gold mine in Yukon history, located approximately 85 kilometers north of Mayo. Utilizing advanced heap leach technology, the mine began commercial production in 2019 and has a processing capacity of approximately 36,000 tonnes per day. It is a cornerstone of Yukon's mining sector, producing over 200,000 ounces of gold annually. The operation is noted for its commitment to local employment, with a significant portion of its workforce drawn from nearby communities. Additionally, the mine supports the Yukon's economy through investments in infrastructure and sustainable practices, making it a key player in Canada's gold mining industry.
