Brooks Solar, located near Brooks, Alberta, is a pioneering renewable energy project. Developed by Elemental Energy, it became operational in 2017 as the first utility-scale solar facility in Western Canada. The project features over 48,000 high-efficiency solar panels spread across 68 acres, generating 17 megawatts of electricityenough to power approximately 3,000 homes. Brooks Solar has set a precedent for large-scale solar energy developments in the region, demonstrating the viability and benefits of renewable energy sources.
