New Gold is seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join the Site Services team at Rainy River Mine, located 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario. This open-pit gold and silver mining site operates on a 7/7 shift rotation. The operator will be responsible for safely operating the Vacuum Truck to support mining operations across the site. The role requires experience in equipment operation, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork across various departments.

The Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Vacuum Truck within site operations.
- Perform pre-operational checks, clean, maintain, and secure equipment.
- Operate mining equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper lubrication and refueling.
- Ensure secure loading and transport of hoses and other equipment.
- Complete and maintain required documentation, including logbooks and risk assessments.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and logistics.
- Support safe and efficient surface mining operations.
Requirements
Applicants should have experience in equipment operation and meet the necessary licensing and safety standards.
- Grade 12 diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating Vacuum Trucks.
- Valid Class D or A Driver's License.
- Ontario Common Core Training or equivalent is an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
