Truck Driver - Brucejack Mine - 13/13 Work Rotations - Fly In & Fly Out

Newmont is hiring a Truck Driver, Class 1 for its Brucejack Gold Mine located in the Kitimat-Stikine region of British Columbia, approximately 65 km north of Stewart. This is a fly-in/fly-out operation with camp accommodations provided, including private rooms, meals, fitness and recreation facilities. The rotational schedule is 13 days on and 13 days off, and the position offers $54.14/hour plus incentives. Travel arrangements and allowances are included, and the workplace operates under strict drug and alcohol policies.

Responsibilities

As a Truck Driver at Brucejack, you will support critical mine operations by ensuring the safe transport of materials and equipment on site.

  • Operate tandem, tridem, off-road haul trucks, winch trucks, and trailers
  • Conduct vehicle pre-checks and minor maintenance
  • Transport materials, equipment, site waste, and septic loads
  • Perform winching operations
  • Complete documentation including logs and hazard assessments
  • Participate in safety and toolbox meetings
  • Operate in confined areas and severe weather conditions
  • Report defects and incidents promptly
  • Support site operations with additional duties as required

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements to succeed in the Truck Driver, Class 1 role at Brucejack mine:

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence with clean abstract
  • Minimum 5 years’ hauling experience
  • Experience with winch trucks, vacuum trucks, and off-highway hauling (assets)
  • Knowledge of transport regulations and hazardous goods handling
  • Mechanically inclined with field troubleshooting skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable with shift work in remote, harsh environments
