The Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for skilled maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and mobile equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Perform routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and loaders.
- Inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions and maintain safe working conditions per Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment and perform repairs including incidental welding.
- Conduct road calls as needed for repairs outside the shop.
- Operate automotive servicing equipment such as A/C recyclers.
- Maintain knowledge of current technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements
Qualified applicants must possess the following to perform effectively:
- Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic certification (required).
- Clean driver's abstract with no suspensions.
- Proven skills in hydraulics and electrical systems, including schematics and diagnostics.
- Experience with DEF/After Treatment systems is an asset.
- Experience in routine maintenance operations.
- Positive attitude with a strong safety mindset.
- Effective interpersonal skills for diverse work environments.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Minimum two job references.
