Responsibilities
The Surface Labourer supports underground area logistics and site maintenance, ensuring safe and efficient material handling and site upkeep.
- Assist with material movements and logistics coordination.
- Fuel and grease equipment.
- Load and unload transport trucks.
- Stage materials in designated locations.
- Organize and maintain the underground laydown area.
- Manage surface refuse and recycling, including transferring bins with loader.
- Sort returnable items such as pallets, shotcrete bags, and cable spools.
- Deliver parts from warehouse to various site locations.
- Perform snow clearing with loader and shovel walkways and doors during winter.
- Maintain overall site appearance and cleanliness in the underground area, including parking lots and roads.
Requirements
Candidates should have basic education, a valid driver's license, and preferably industrial experience.
- Grade 12 diploma considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial setting preferred.
- Experience with SAP considered an asset.
