Responsibilities

The Surface Labourer supports Brucejack mine winter operations by completing snow removal, cleanup, and labour tasks that help maintain safe and efficient access across the site.

  • Assist with snow stacking, shoveling duties, and winter site maintenance activities.
  • Perform general housekeeping, site clean-up, and material handling duties.
  • Support construction projects and tradespeople with labour tasks.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to move materials and level ground.
  • Follow all safety procedures, policies, and required training.
  • Work safely in challenging winter weather and outdoor site conditions.

Requirements

Candidates for this seasonal FIFO labour role should be physically capable, safety-focused, and able to work long shifts outdoors in remote winter conditions.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in mining, industrial, construction, or labour roles is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred.
  • WHMIS and TDG certifications are considered assets.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote winter conditions.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
