Responsibilities
The Surface Labourer supports Brucejack mine winter operations by completing snow removal, cleanup, and labour tasks that help maintain safe and efficient access across the site.
- Assist with snow stacking, shoveling duties, and winter site maintenance activities.
- Perform general housekeeping, site clean-up, and material handling duties.
- Support construction projects and tradespeople with labour tasks.
- Use hand tools and equipment to move materials and level ground.
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and required training.
- Work safely in challenging winter weather and outdoor site conditions.
Requirements
Candidates for this seasonal FIFO labour role should be physically capable, safety-focused, and able to work long shifts outdoors in remote winter conditions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in mining, industrial, construction, or labour roles is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred.
- WHMIS and TDG certifications are considered assets.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote winter conditions.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
