Skilled Labourer - Syncrude Aurora - Drive In/Out - 14x7 Rotations
NACG is hiring Skilled Labourers for the Syncrude Aurora project in Fort McMurray, AB. This role involves performing a variety of general labour tasks, including equipment cleaning, snow removal, and vehicle operation. The position follows a 14-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights. Bussing is provided from Fort McMurray to the site. This is a unionized role under IUOE Local 955.

Responsibilities
The Skilled Labourer will perform general labour duties to support site operations.
- Steam cleaning equipment as required
- Snow removal around the shop and front parking lot (seasonal)
- Operating fork trucks for moving parts and other items
- Operating company vehicles to pick up parts and transport items
- Ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
- Using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Reviewing and following safe work plans and hazard assessments before starting work
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a mine site environment and be capable of physically demanding work.
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving in a mine environment
- Ability to drive and back up light towers and heaters
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Capable of working night shifts in cold winter conditions
- Some equipment experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively on a two-way radio
- Attentive and strong listening skills
- High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education is considered an asset
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
