Newmont is hiring a Shop Laborer for its Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground operation located in northern British Columbia, approximately 65 km north of Stewart. This is a remote, fly-in/fly-out role with transportation provided from various locations across Western Canada. Camp accommodations include private rooms with en-suite washrooms, full meal service, fitness facilities, and recreational amenities. The position operates on a 13 days on, 13 days off rotation with 12-hour shifts in a physically demanding, alpine environment.

Responsibilities
As a Shop Laborer, you'll support operations by maintaining cleanliness and safety in the shop while assisting tradespeople.
- Assist with daily maintenance operations and organizing tools and inventory
- Clean shop and yard areas; perform snow clearing as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Drive crew vans to transport personnel and materials
- Perform safety inspections and complete documentation
- Follow all safe work practices and contribute to team culture
Requirements
Applicants should possess physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and a strong team attitude to succeed in this role.
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
- Mechanical inclination and knowledge of shop tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Physically fit for 12-hour shifts in outdoor conditions
- WHMIS and TDG certifications preferred
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
