Security Officer - Remote Mining Camps British Columbia - CAMP
Scarlet Security and Risk Group (SSRG) is hiring experienced Security Officers for remote deployments across British Columbia. This on-call position requires flexibility and availability for 12-hour shifts, with accommodations and per diem covered during deployments. Mileage and travel time are paid, and hourly wages range from $30 to $35 depending on experience. Applicants must have a valid BC Security License and at least two years of related experience. Positions may involve checkpoint duties, camp security, and coordination with law enforcement.

Responsibilities
Security Officers will provide protection and site access control in remote deployments. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing checkpoints or camp sites with minimal supervision
- Logging visitor entry and exit at checkpoints
- Conducting vehicle inspections in restricted areas
- Validating access passes issued by the Regional District
- Assisting law enforcement as needed
- Cooperating with other agencies on-site
- Mentoring new team members when applicable
Requirements
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
- Valid BC Security License (Security Officer, Consultant, or Investigator)
- Class 5 driver's license
- Minimum two years of experience in security or related field
- Preferred background in law enforcement (police, military, sheriff, corrections)
- Strong English communication skills - written and spoken
- Physically fit for demanding work environments
