Security Officer - Remote Mining Camps British Columbia - CAMP

Scarlet Security and Risk Group (SSRG) is hiring experienced Security Officers for remote deployments across British Columbia. This on-call position requires flexibility and availability for 12-hour shifts, with accommodations and per diem covered during deployments. Mileage and travel time are paid, and hourly wages range from $30 to $35 depending on experience. Applicants must have a valid BC Security License and at least two years of related experience. Responsibilities

Security Officers will provide protection and site access control in remote deployments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing checkpoints or camp sites with minimal supervision
  • Logging visitor entry and exit at checkpoints
  • Conducting vehicle inspections in restricted areas
  • Validating access passes issued by the Regional District
  • Assisting law enforcement as needed
  • Cooperating with other agencies on-site
  • Mentoring new team members when applicable

Requirements

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Valid BC Security License (Security Officer, Consultant, or Investigator)
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Minimum two years of experience in security or related field
  • Preferred background in law enforcement (police, military, sheriff, corrections)
  • Strong English communication skills - written and spoken
  • Physically fit for demanding work environments
