Security Officer - Oil Sands Construction Maintenance - CAMP
Scarlet Security and Risk Group (SSRG) is recruiting experienced Security Officers for remote deployments throughout Alberta. These on-call, casual positions involve 12-hour shifts and require full-time availability when activated. Competitive hourly wages range from $30 to $35 based on experience. Successful applicants will receive accommodations, a per diem allowance, and reimbursement for mileage and travel time. Responsibilities include checkpoint security, vehicle inspections, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies. Candidates must hold a valid Alberta Security License and have at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
Security Officers will perform protective and access control duties at remote Alberta sites. Responsibilities include:
- Managing checkpoint or camp operations with limited supervision
- Documenting visitors entering and exiting checkpoints
- Inspecting vehicles entering restricted areas
- Verifying issued passes from the Regional District
- Supporting law enforcement personnel on-site
- Collaborating with other team members and agencies
- Providing guidance to new team members as required
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications for consideration:
- Valid Alberta Security License (Security Officer, Consultant, or Investigator)
- Class 5 driver's license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in security or related service
- Preferred background in law enforcement (military, corrections, police, sheriff)
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Good physical fitness to perform demanding tasks
