ATCO Frontec is hiring Salad/Sandwich Makers for the Jansen Discovery Lodge near Leroy, Saskatchewan, a workforce housing facility supporting the BHP Jansen potash mine approximately 155 kilometres east of Saskatoon. This 14 days on / 7 days off rotational camp food service role prepares high-volume salads, sandwiches, and specialty made-to-order items while maintaining food service areas, cleaning kitchenware, and following sanitation and food safety standards. The position includes camp accommodations and meals during each work rotation.

Responsibilities
The Salad/Sandwich Maker supports food service operations at Jansen Discovery Lodge by preparing high-volume cold food items, maintaining serving areas, and ensuring kitchen equipment meets sanitation standards.
- Prepare salad bar items, including basic food preparation and portioning.
- Prepare salads and sandwiches according to specifications and in quantities sufficient for the daily meal count.
- Create made-to-order specialty sandwiches and varied salad selections.
- Produce high volumes of salad and sandwich items efficiently.
- Maintain daily preparation, handling, storage, rotation, and service of sandwiches and salads required for kitchen operations.
- Stock food service areas while maintaining product quality, appearance, and adequate inventory levels.
- Minimize leftovers, food waste, and unnecessary product loss.
- Clean and sanitize flatware, pots, pans, and plateware according to lodge standards.
- Assist in other kitchen production areas when required.
- Follow food sanitation and safety procedures when handling food, utensils, and equipment.
Requirements
Candidates for this rotational camp food service position should have salad and sandwich preparation experience, valid food safety training, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Valid Food Safety Certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Salad Maker or Sandwich Maker.
- Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize multiple food preparation and cleaning tasks.
- Ability to multitask in a busy camp kitchen.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet daily production requirements.
