Greenstone Gold Mines LP, owned by Equinox Gold Corp, is hiring a Mill Maintenance Process Control Technician for the Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. This open-pit gold mine, operational since May 2024, is projected to produce nearly 400,000 ounces of gold annually for an initial 14-year mine life. The Mill Maintenance Process Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of process control systems, troubleshooting PLC and HMI issues, and supporting process control system development. Company transportation is available from multiple pick-up locations.

Responsibilities
The Mill Maintenance Process Control Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing process control systems at Greenstone Mine. Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing PLC and HMI issues to minimize operational downtime.
- Maintaining PLCs by backing up programs and documenting any changes.
- Investigating and diagnosing issues with control system hardware, reporting findings to the Maintenance Team.
- Interpreting P&IDs, loop drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Collaborating with Maintenance, Metallurgy, and Operations teams to address process control issues and improvements.
- Reporting hazards, safety issues, and deviations from procedures.
- Providing documentation of work performed.
- Ensuring compliance with work safety policies and regulations.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- College Technician or Technology Diploma in Automation, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in PLC and HMI troubleshooting and basic configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
