Plumber - Remote Mining Camps British Columbia - FIFO
MATRIX is hiring a certified Journeyperson Plumber for various remote camp projects across Canada. This fly-in/fly-out role offers a seasonal day rate of $450-$500 depending on certifications and experience, and includes camp accommodations during shifts. The Plumber will install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, water treatment and gas lines, and may also assist with general maintenance and HVAC-related tasks. Applicants must have a Red Seal Plumbing certification, a Gasfitter "B" ticket, and at least 2-3 years of experience in remote construction or camp operations.

Responsibilities
The Plumber will handle installation, maintenance, and inspection of plumbing systems and related infrastructure at remote camps.
- Install and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and water distribution systems
- Perform gas appliance and line maintenance
- Maintain logs and documentation of work performed
- Support drinking water treatment and distribution
- Assist with camp setup and ongoing maintenance
- Comply with environmental, safety, and operational policies
- Report and help resolve safety issues promptly
- Contribute to team safety and performance standards
- Perform other duties as assigned, including general labor as needed
Requirements
Applicants must be certified plumbers with remote site experience, strong technical ability, and the physical capacity for camp-based work.
- Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal)
- Gasfitter "B" ticket required
- 2-3 years of experience in construction or remote camps
- HVAC/Refrigeration experience an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to work rotation and dynamic schedules
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work 10-12 hour shifts
- Standard First Aid and WHMIS certifications preferred
- Capable of working independently and in teams
