This role involves warehouse duties, stocking, inventory management, and transporting parts between sites. The position follows a 5x2 work schedule with 10-hour shifts. While camp accommodations are not provided, transportation to and from the site is available via bus. Responsibilities

The Parts Runner is responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, and transporting parts between sites.

  • Perform general warehouse duties, including stocking and organizing inventory.
  • Ensure parts and supplies are stored for accessibility and proper stock management.
  • Pick up parts and supplies from local vendors as required.
  • Transfer parts between sites and business units, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, inventory management skills, and a valid driver's license.

  • Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse operations.
  • Previous warehouse experience (mandatory).
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and loaders.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Experience in the mining industry (asset).
  • Must pass a pre-employment screening, including drug and alcohol tests, fitness assessment, audiometric testing, and vision screening.
  • Valid CSO or BSO, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness, Silica Awareness, OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness, Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness.
  • Subject to random testing at specific worksites.

The Syncrude Aurora Mine, located approximately 35 kilometers north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, is a significant component of Syncrude Canada's oil sands operations. The Aurora North Mine was the first stand-alone oil sands mine and processing plant, producing bitumen froth that is transported to the Mildred Lake processing plant. The mine has a bitumen production capacity of 225,000 bpd and is expected to be depleted by about 2040 at current mining rates.
