Newmont is seeking a Mine Supervisor for its Brucejack Gold Mine in Northern British Columbia, approximately 65 km north of Stewart. This high-grade underground mine is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pickup points across Western Canada. The role is based in a remote camp setting where private accommodations, meals, fitness and recreation facilities, and various community-focused amenities are provided. The position operates on a 13-days-on, 13-days-off rotation, with both camp and transportation included.

The Mine Supervisor oversees day-to-day underground mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead by example to promote safety and enforce company policies.
- Monitor and report on underground contractor performance.
- Assist with planning contractor activities to optimize operational outcomes.
- Ensure proper execution of mine plans and adherence to priorities.
- Respond to immediate underground issues as needed.
- Conduct monthly safety compliance evaluations.
- Provide guidance on underground mining techniques and technologies.
- Participate in daily scheduling meetings and manage incident investigations.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- At least 10 years of mining experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory capacity.
- BC Underground Shift Boss Ticket required.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven contractor management experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
