Responsibilities

The Mine Dispatcher is responsible for safely coordinating mining fleet operations and supporting production goals through effective communication and data monitoring. Key duties include:

  • Advocating company safety values and protocols through leadership
  • Ensuring crew compliance with legislation and operating standards
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and capturing data
  • Validating delays and downtime codes using time usage models
  • Monitoring fleet utilization and advising Production Supervisors on improvements
  • Planning and managing operator breaks and daily lineups
  • Supporting Production Supervisors to meet daily targets
  • Maintaining a clean work area
  • Manipulating schedules to align with mine and maintenance plans
  • Coordinating and prioritizing equipment repairs with maintenance
  • Populating daily reports for supervisors and management
  • Monitoring equipment use against targets and adjusting as needed
  • Managing crusher feed and adjusting fleet destinations to optimize throughput

Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Mine Dispatcher role will have extensive experience in open-pit mining and demonstrated expertise in fleet management systems, along with strong leadership and communication skills:
