Maintenance Yardperson - Kearl Oil Sands - Fly In/Out - Two Week Rotations
North American Construction Group (NACG) is hiring Skilled Maintenance Yardpersons for work at the Kearl mining site in Fort McMurray, AB. This position follows a 14-day on, 14-day off schedule. Camp accommodations are provided, and flights are available from Edmonton or Calgary, with bus transportation from Fort McMurray to the site. Responsibilities include operating various equipment, assisting technicians, loading and offloading freight, and replacing Ground Engagement Tools (G.E.T.). This is a unionized position under IUOE Local 955.

Responsibilities
The Skilled Maintenance Yardperson will perform a variety of maintenance and equipment operation tasks.
- Operate various equipment, including loaders, graders, forklifts, skid-steers, and light-duty vehicles
- Assist technicians with equipment assembly and testing under minimal supervision
- Load and offload freight components from delivery trucks using forklifts
- Install and replace Ground Engagement Tools (G.E.T.), including bucket teeth, cutting edges, dozer blades, grader blades, ripper teeth, and shanks
- Perform all duties required of an Intermediate Maintenance Yardperson
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance yard operations and equipment handling.
- Minimum 3 months of experience operating a grader or loader
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a shop or field heavy equipment maintenance environment
- Forklift and skid-steer certifications (preferred)
- Class 3 License with air endorsement (preferred)
- Experience hauling and reversing trailers with a light-duty truck (preferred)
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
