Maintenance Planner - Greenstone Gold Mines - Camp 14x14 Rotation

Greenstone Gold Mines LP, owned by Equinox Gold Corp, is hiring a Maintenance Planner II to join its open-pit gold operation at Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. As one of Canada's largest open-pit mines, Greenstone is forecast to produce 400,000 ounces of gold annually over a 14-year mine life. The Maintenance Planner II will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of maintenance schedules, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient workflow for mobile equipment upkeep. The position is offered on a 14/14 rotation with camp accommodations and company transportation provided.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Planner II will support maintenance operations by developing and updating weekly work schedules and ensuring safe, efficient task execution aligned with mine planning needs.

  • Attend daily control meetings and update schedules for operational changes
  • Review breakdowns and corrective work and integrate into weekly plans
  • Develop daily and weekly maintenance schedules aligned with operational priorities
  • Lead scheduling meetings and communicate changes with stakeholders
  • Confirm availability of trades, parts, services, and equipment in SAP CMMS
  • Verify completion and accuracy of work orders throughout the active week
  • Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and update schedules as needed
  • Participate in pre-shutdown and post-shutdown meetings for continuous improvement
  • Communicate schedule changes consistently and accurately to all teams

Requirements

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, particularly within the mining sector, with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Valid trade certificate or equivalent professional experience and education
  • 3+ years' experience with computerized maintenance information systems (CMMS)
  • 5+ years' experience maintaining mobile mining equipment
  • Experience with SAP CMMS or similar systems preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word; MS Project is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in fast-paced team environments
  • Comfortable working at heights and performing repetitive tasks
  • Mining industry experience is an asset
