Maintenance Planner - Faro Mine Complex - FIFO 14x14 12 Hour Shifts
Parsons is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support the safe and efficient operation of the Faro Mine Remediation Project in Yukon as part of the Care & Maintenance Team. This temporary fixed-term role, with potential to become full-time, requires developing detailed maintenance schedules for trades including electricians, mechanics, carpenters, millwrights, and heavy equipment operators. The Planner will collaborate closely with project teams, adhere to maintenance processes, and emphasize safety in planning. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler coordinates and plans maintenance activities to ensure safe, timely, and efficient execution across multiple trades and operations.
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for electricians, mechanics, carpenters, millwrights, and heavy equipment operators, including water treatment operations.
- Prepare standard effort estimates for trades, materials, tools, and equipment based on planned work packages.
- Adhere to Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) business processes and systems (e.g., Maintenance Connection).
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with plant stakeholders including supervisors, schedulers, planners, and crew members.
- Plan work orders including systematic, non-systematic, shutdown, and external resource-related tasks with emphasis on safety and hazard mitigation.
- Provide weekly updates on progress in work order development.
Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience and skills in maintenance planning, scheduling, and collaboration within industrial or remediation environments.
- Completed Grade 12 or GED equivalency (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with maintenance operations involving multiple trades and heavy equipment.
- Proven planning and scheduling experience, preferably in remediation or construction environments.
- Comfortable working in remote locations.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Obsessed with safety and risk mitigation.
- Open, transparent communication and strong collaboration skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
