ATCO Frontec is hiring a General Kitchen Helper for Jansen Discovery Lodge, a workforce housing facility supporting the BHP Jansen potash mine in Saskatchewan. The role involves assisting with food preparation, kitchen maintenance, and sanitation while ensuring all safety and health standards are met. The position follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation, with camp accommodations and meals provided during work shifts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining efficiency and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
The General Kitchen Helper supports food service operations by assisting with meal prep and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
- Work safely with all kitchen equipment.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including vegetable and snack prep.
- Clean kitchen, general equipment, and facility areas such as tables and floors.
- Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Ensure workstations are manned and fully stocked.
- Follow Health, Safety, and Environment Management System requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen or camp setting and strong teamwork skills.
- Valid Food Safe Certificate required.
- Experience working in a camp, kitchen, or restaurant environment is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with or without supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask efficiently.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Final candidates must pass a criminal record check, drug and alcohol test, and fit-for-work medical assessment.

Designed and constructed by ATCO Structures, the lodge accommodates up to 2,586 workers and offers amenities such as fitness facilities, squash courts, steam rooms, and a 200-seat movie theatre, providing a comfortable living environment for the workforce.
