Newmont is hiring a General Helper (Kitchen) for a six-month term at its Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground site located 65 km north of Stewart in northern British Columbia. This fly-in/fly-out position includes camp accommodations with private rooms, catered meals, and full access to recreation and wellness facilities. The General Helper will maintain food service areas, support meal preparation, and ensure sanitation and safety across dining operations while earning CA$27.66/hour on a 13/13 rotational schedule.

Responsibilities
As a General Helper, you will support kitchen and dining operations by ensuring cleanliness, stocking, and excellent guest service.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and lunchroom areas
- Stock food, beverages, and supplies during shifts
- Assist with food prep, dishwashing, and garbage disposal
- Monitor cooler temperatures and report any discrepancies
- Provide support and customer service during mealtimes
- Follow FoodSafe and WHMIS guidelines for food handling and sanitation
- Report supply shortages or equipment issues to supervisors
Requirements
Candidates should have food service experience, certifications, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a camp setting.
- Grade 12 diploma or GED
- WHMIS and FoodSafe Level 1 certification
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
