Journeyperson Pipefitter - Remote Camps Nunavut - FIFO - 3/3
MATRIX is hiring a Red Seal Pipefitter for a temporary fly-in/fly-out role supporting the setup and installation of a SAG Mill and piping systems at a remote Nunavut mining camp. The position offers $700/day, full camp accommodations, and travel allowances. Working 12-hour shifts on a 3 week in, 3 week out rotation, the Pipefitter will install and maintain process piping for plant infrastructure. This role is suited for experienced industrial pipefitters with strong welding and blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work in harsh, remote conditions.

The Pipefitter will support industrial piping setup, maintenance, and inspection for mining infrastructure in a remote Arctic environment.
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for SAG Mill and support infrastructure
- Perform fitting, welding, and component assembly per blueprints
- Conduct piping inspections and safety compliance checks
- Support general maintenance in processing facilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve piping and mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Follow and promote strict safety standards and protocols
Requirements
Applicants must be Red Seal certified with relevant industrial piping experience and capable of working in remote, cold environments.
- Valid Red Seal Pipefitter certification
- Industrial piping experience, preferably in mining/heavy industry
- Familiarity with piping codes and safety standards
- Proficient in blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills
- Ability to work long hours in remote and cold environments
