Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Technician to join the maintenance team at Jansen Discovery Lodge, a workforce housing facility supporting the Jansen potash mine in Saskatchewan. This role involves conducting preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems. The position follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation with accommodations and meals provided during work shifts. The ideal candidate will be a Red Seal-certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic with experience in commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities
The Journeyman HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Provide input into planning and execution of maintenance schedules.
- Assist with estimating, planning, and executing new projects.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications for system maintenance.
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive HVAC experience and relevant certifications.
- Journeyperson Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Current OSSA or OSHA-approved certifications in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to personal and team safety.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Final candidates must pass a criminal record check, drug and alcohol test, and fit-for-work medical assessment.
