ATCO Frontec is hiring a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter to join its team in Resolute Bay, NU. This role involves constructing, repairing, and installing structural wood and steel work for building maintenance. The position follows a 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off rotation with 10-hour shifts, and all travel expenses are covered. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, experience with building maintenance, and the ability to work in a remote environment while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

The Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter is responsible for construction, maintenance, and repairs of structural components in buildings.
- Repair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and building exteriors.
- Build and install door and window framing.
- Construct wooden and steel structures, including partitions, office additions, and final finishes.
- Perform rough carpentry and final finishing work.
- Operate woodworking machinery such as planers, joiners, drill presses, power saws, and sanders.
- Repair and maintain hand tools and other carpentry equipment.
- Install locks, door knobs, and other building hardware.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in carpentry and building maintenance.
- Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate in Carpentry required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, specifically in building maintenance.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Strong mechanical skills and understanding of building components.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
