Responsibilities

The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining IT infrastructure at the mine site. Key duties include:

  • Providing Level 1 & 2 IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and mobile devices.
  • Administering Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Group Policy.
  • Creating and updating IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and service desk records.
  • Ensuring compliance with IT security standards and best practices.
  • Delivering high-quality customer service and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Occasionally traveling to other locations, including the Vancouver office.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

  • IT-related qualification or five years of equivalent experience.
  • ITIL Foundation V4 certification (required); Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications (preferred).
  • Experience in IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work in a remote mine site on a rotational schedule.
