Responsibilities
The IT Specialist supports IT system operations, infrastructure administration, user support, and project coordination.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support onsite and remotely.
- Manage IT service provisioning such as user access and password resets.
- Provision and troubleshoot mobile devices.
- Administer Microsoft infrastructure including Active Directory, O365, GPO, DHCP, DNS, and Hyper-V.
- Manage patching and Windows compliance cycles.
- Troubleshoot networks and resolve IT incidents using ITIL best practices.
- Perform server management, backup, and recovery.
- Manage small to moderate IT projects and collaborate with departments and vendors.
Requirements
Applicants should have IT education or experience, Microsoft infrastructure expertise, and strong communication and multitasking skills.
- University or college degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field considered an asset.
- 3+ years experience in IT, mining experience is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Server administration and SharePoint Online.
- Customer service and help desk experience.
- Organized with ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products including Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Windows 10/11, Office 365.
- Sound knowledge of TCP/IP and networking principles.
- Experience racking/cabling servers and network equipment.
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and be on-call after hours as required.
