The Ironworker will work on structural steel erection, rigging, and industrial construction in Fort McMurray.
- Erect structural steel structures, bridges, and gangways.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications for accurate installations.
- Pre-assemble panelization components.
- Work with rigging and heavy lifts, including cranes and derricks.
- Ensure work is completed within set deadlines.
- Communicate progress and safety updates to site supervision.
- Work at heights and in industrial settings.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have industrial ironworking experience and relevant certifications.
- Journeyperson Structural or Generalist Certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.
- Previous experience in an industrial or live plant setting.
- Experience with layout, man lifts, and connecting mods (asset).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
