Horizon North, part of Dexterra Group, is hiring Housekeepers to join its world-class remote camp facility near Prince George, BC. This camp-based housekeeping role is essential to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety for all guests. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms, laundering linens, and ensuring sanitary conditions throughout the lodge. Responsibilities

The Housekeeper ensures the cleanliness, comfort, and sanitation of guest accommodations and common areas within the Horizon North remote camp facility.

  • Clean and service up to 30 guest rooms daily based on occupancy.
  • Make beds, change linens weekly or as needed.
  • Vacuum, dust, and sanitize room furniture, blinds, and hallways.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, mirrors, and windows.
  • Empty garbage and recycling from all guest areas.
  • Wash, fold, and distribute towels, linens, and bedding.
  • Load and unload laundry and supply trucks as needed.
  • Maintain records of bedding inventory and report shortages to the Lodge Manager.
  • Follow all safety and hygiene standards and participate in workplace testing protocols.

Requirements

Candidates should have housekeeping or janitorial experience and the ability to work effectively in a remote camp environment.

  • Minimum 6 months of janitorial or housekeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, products, and standard procedures.
  • Experience in remote lodge, hotel, or institutional environments preferred.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must achieve 80% or higher on mandatory WHMIS safety certification test.
