Horizon North, part of Dexterra Group (TSX:DXT), is hiring a Housekeeper for Kobes Creek Lodge in Peace River, British Columbia. This position operates on a 20 days on / 10 days off rotation in a world-class camp facility, with transportation provided to site. The Housekeeper plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of guest accommodations, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
The Housekeeper ensures guest comfort and cleanliness by maintaining high standards throughout the lodge. Responsibilities include:
- Perform full housekeeping services in guest rooms, bathrooms, and hallways.
- Clean approximately 30 rooms per day depending on occupancy levels.
- Make beds, change linens weekly or as required, and restock room supplies.
- Vacuum, dust, and clean furniture, blinds, and windows.
- Wash, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms, mirrors, and other surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling from sleeping areas and hallways.
- Wash, dry, and fold towels, linens, and bedding as required.
- Load and unload laundry, linen, and supply trucks.
- Maintain accurate inventory of bedding and cleaning supplies, reporting shortages to management.
- Perform other cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
Requirements
Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to cleanliness. Requirements include:
- Minimum 6 months of janitorial or housekeeping experience.
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
- Experience in remote lodge, hotel, or institutional cleaning environments preferred.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must achieve a score of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test.
