Housekeeper - Brucejack Mine - 13/13 Rotation - Fly In and Fly Out

Newmont is hiring Housekeepers (6-month term) for the Brucejack Gold Mine in northern British Columbia, a high-grade underground mine located about 65 km north of Stewart in the Kitimat-Stikine region. This onsite, remote camp position works on a 13 days on / 13 days off rotation within a fly-in/fly-out operation with pickup points across Western Canada, with transportation arrangements and a travel allowance provided. The role supports site-wide wellbeing by maintaining clean, sanitary living spaces, laundry services, and supply levels in a drug- and alcohol-free workplace with pre-employment testing. Brucejack offers private accommodations with individual washrooms, balanced meals, a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar, and strong recreation options including a gym, fitness and yoga classes, golf simulator, hiking groups, and a music room.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary living spaces within the Brucejack Mine camp.

  • Clean and sanitize bunkhouse rooms, hallways, and washrooms.
  • Change linens and maintain overall room cleanliness.
  • Wash, fold, and store laundry.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning and hygiene supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Follow WHMIS guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient cleaning routine.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Previous housekeeping experience (preferred in hotel, restaurant, or camp settings).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work in a remote camp on a 13 days on / 13 days off rotation.
