Responsibilities
Heavy Equipment Operators at Parsons manage various site maintenance tasks at Faro Mine Complex, including:
- Operating haul trucks, graders, excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, forklifts, fuel, vacuum, and water trucks
- Safely rigging, lifting, and positioning heavy loads
- Roadway repair and reconfiguration
- Snow clearing operations during winter months
- Collaborating with the Water Treatment group for pump and pipeline placement
- Conducting pre- and post-equipment inspections and maintenance
- Maintaining detailed equipment and activity logs
Requirements
Candidates must meet these requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years operating experience with CAT and other surface mining/construction equipment
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement
- Rigging, lifting, and hoisting certification
- Proficiency operating equipment from 3 to 10 tons (including vacuum and water trucks)
- Physical fitness for prolonged sitting/standing, lifting up to 20kg, and working in varied weather conditions
- Ability to work multiple shift patterns and follow clear directions
