New Gold is hiring a temporary Haulage Miner to join its Rainy River Mine team in Emo, Ontario. This 6-month opportunity is based at a residential open-pit gold and silver mining site located 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, in northwestern Ontario near the Ontario/Minnesota border. The position follows a 7/7 rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts. No camp or flight accommodations are provided, and preference is given to local residents.

Responsibilities
The Haulage Miner is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to support mine operations and production goals. Key duties include:
- Operating mining equipment safely and efficiently per site policies and SOPs
- Conducting pre-operational checks and routine maintenance
- Driving haul trucks to move overburden, waste, and ore
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members
- Maintaining equipment logs and reporting maintenance needs
- Participating in safe and productive surface mining activities
Requirements
No prior experience required, though the following are considered assets:
- 1 year of machinery operation experience
- Heavy Equipment Operator Training
- Ontario Common Core Training
- Ability to follow safety practices and demonstrate safety awareness
- Strong verbal communication and reading comprehension skills
- Physical fitness for labor, ability to sit long periods and work at heights
