Newmont is hiring Haul Truck Drivers for its Red Chris Mine located near Dease Lake, British Columbia, within the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. This fly-in, fly-out role features a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation and includes full camp accommodations with meals, recreational facilities, and on-site counselling. Flights and travel allowances are provided from locations throughout BC and Alberta. The position plays a critical role in the open-pit mining operations, focusing on the safe operation of large haul trucks and general mine support.

Responsibilities
Haul Truck Drivers are responsible for operating large-scale haul trucks safely and efficiently within an open pit mining environment.
- Operate haul trucks such as Cat 777, 785, and 793 on rotating day/night 12-hour shifts.
- Follow designated traffic patterns and avoid road hazards.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
- Report mechanical issues promptly and maintain safety documentation.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping standards.
- Support general mine labour and assist with other duties as needed.
Requirements
Ideal candidates should have relevant mining experience and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in an open pit mining environment preferred.
- Commitment to safe work practices and procedures.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and maintain alertness.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and accessing equipment safely.
- Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities.
- Valid British Columbia Driver's License.
