Responsibilities
As a Haul Truck Operator, you will contribute to safe and efficient mining operations by transporting materials across an open pit site.
- Operate haul or articulating trucks with precision and awareness of safety protocols
- Perform daily pre-operational checks and basic maintenance reporting
- Follow haul routes and supervisor instructions to move material safely and efficiently
- Adapt to various site and weather conditions while maintaining productivity
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and other team members
- Train on new equipment when required
Requirements
FLINT seeks experienced and safety-conscious equipment operators with a proven track record in mining environments.
- Minimum 2000+ hours on haul truck or articulating truck in an open pit mine
- Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation) certificate
- Physically fit to handle the demands of long shifts in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability to train on additional heavy equipment as needed
- Proficient English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Clean 3-year driver's abstract with no more than 2 infractions
