Responsibilities

The Haul Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating haul and articulating trucks to support mining operations at Fort McMurray.

  • Operate haul trucks and articulating trucks with safety and precision.
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections.
  • Follow all safety protocols in a safety-sensitive environment.
  • Train on new equipment as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the site team.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following for this safety-sensitive role:

  • Minimum 2000 hours operating haul or articulating trucks in open pit mining.
  • Mandatory safety ticket: CSO.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding tasks.
  • Clean 3-year driver's abstract (specific requirements not provided).
  • Proficient English communication skills.
  • Drug and alcohol testing required.
